Paul McNamara ,
Director,
Head of Research

Paul is responsible for the overall direction of property research within PRUPIM and is a member of the company's Board.

Paul joined Prudential in 1987. He has a first class honours degree in Geography from the University of St Andrews and a PhD in Geography from the University of Edinburgh. In 1992 he became an Associate of the Institute of Investment Management and Research (now UKSIP) and is a Visiting Professor with the Center for Estate Management at Oxford Brookes University.

Paul is a member of the Management Board of the Investment Property Forum and a past Chairman. He also represents the IPF on the ODPM Property Consultative Group. He is Honorary President, and a past Chairman of the Society of Property Researchers. He has recently become a non-executive director of IPD Holdings Limited and has been invited to lead the Property Workstream of the Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change.

In June 2003 Paul was awarded an OBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours list for services to the property industry.


Scott Girard,
Head of Fund Management and Strategy,
Asia-Pacific

Scott has been active in Asian real estate capital markets since 2002. Previously based in Korea and Japan for Jones Lang Lasalle, he has been involved at senior levels in investments, corporate finance, research and property advisory for a wide range of clients. Scott started his career in Australia in 1995 with ANZ Funds Management before moving into the consultancy business. He graduated from Curtin University of Technology with a Bachelor in Commerce and holds a Master of Applied Finance and Investment from Macquarie University.


Ben Sanderson,
Director,
Property Research

Ben Sanderson leads PRUPIM's view formation and strategy team for the Prudential's £18 billion investment in property markets and is responsible for research and strategy in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region for PRUPIM's US $33 billion international investment programme.

His work provides insights for strategy and inputs into the position of property within the Prudential's multi-asset allocation process. Prior to joining Prudential in January 2003, Ben had over a decade of business and academic experience as an economist and property researcher, most recently leading the Japanese research team for Jones Lang LaSalle based in Tokyo.

Prior to that Ben was Jones Lang LaSalle's senior European economist based in London as part of the European research group. He is a member of the Investment Property Forum (IPF) and is module leader for the IPF's Advanced Education Programme module on "International Real Estate Investment". Ben is Vice-Chairman of the UK Society of Property Researchers and a member of the UK Society of Business Economists.

Ben has BA and Masters degrees in economics and holds the UK Society of Investment Professional's Investment Management Certificate. In 2005 Ben was appointed as an external examiner at the University of Reading, England on the BSc degree programmes for Investment and Finance in Property


Nick Blakemore,
Director of Performance Management

Nick joined the Prudential in 1975. Following work with the Pensions Department and then with legal aspects of property, in 1983 he moved in to the role of performance measurement. Since that time Nick has led the development of an in-house property performance measurement system (PIRAMID) and provides regular and detailed performance analyses on PRUPIM’s client funds under management.

Nick is a member of the IPF and currently serves as an expert user on IPD’s Performance Analysis Service (PAS) Consultative Group.


Will Robson,
Analyst,
Property Research
Will holds a BA honours degree in Economics from the University of Newcastle and also an MSC degree in Economics from the University of York. Will is currently responsible for the analysis of Asia Pacific and UK property markets, including rental growth forecasting, economic analysis and inputs into investment strategy. Will is a member of both the Society of Business Economists and the Society of Property Researchers.
